Apoxar Melanotan 2 is a synthetic peptide that is similar in structure to a hormone called alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH), which is naturally produced by the body. The main purpose of melanotan is to stimulate the production of melanin, the pigment that gives color to the skin, hair, and eyes.

Tanning

Typically, a Melanotan cycle involves an initial loading phase, followed by a maintenance phase:
- The loading phase that would allow melanin to build up takes approximately 1 or two weeks. It requires doses of 500 to 1000 mcg ED for 7 days or 14 days EOD;
- At the end of the loading phase, you’ll get the desired skin tone result;
- When your skin clearly gets darker, you can visit a solarium to improve the effect a little;
- And when you’re happy with the result, you can switch to a maintenance phase (lower the dose to 50% of the loading phase, typically — 200 mcg).
The exact dosages used during the loading phase can vary depending on the individual skin tone and response. We’d start with a low dose and gradually increase over time to minimize the risk of side effects.
In 10 to 30 minutes after the injection, you may feel what is believed to be the only side effect of Apoxar Melanotan: mild nausea and slight flushing. In all other aspects, it’s a relatively safe compound, even though we still don’t know anything about long-term effects.
Rarely, while on cycle, you may see slightly darker spots, freckles on your skin because of the pigment that Melanotan-2 produces. This effect is reversible: the skin will get back to normal (though slightly darker because of the peptide’s effect) soon.
It's hard to say what exactly is a positive side effect and what is the effect of Melanotan. Nowadays it’s commonly accepted that it’s a “tanning peptide” — simply because there are no other compounds with the effect on skin color, but there’s an abundance of other, superior weight loss options (from MK-677 to Clenbuterol) and sex life improvement substances (from PT-141 to Tadalafil and other classics).
