Description
Novo-Pharm’s Letrozole is an aromatase inhibitor that blocks the production of estrogen in the body, making it popular in the bodybuilding community as a way to control estrogen levels.
It is a part of on-cycle support for the hormonal system to prevent unwanted side effects, both physical and mental, including gynecomastia, mood swings, and depression.
In simple terms, Femara is the next generation of aromatase inhibitors, superior to the “classic” options, like Arimidex or Aromasin, but less thoroughly researched and less popular in the bodybuilding community.
The primary benefit of Novo-Pharm's Letrozole is its ability to lower estrogen levels, preventing a range of consequences from steroid use.
It can reduce water retention and bloating caused by wet compounds like Deca Durabolin or Testosterone Enanthate, prevents muscle loss, and slightly increases muscle mass due to improved hormonal balance.
Additionally, it reduces the risk of gynecomastia. As an all-rounder on-cycle support compound, it is recommended for anyone taking more than TRT doses of any anabolic steroids, including Testosterone.
NOTE: Even if you don’t run aromatizing anabolic steroids, you still may need Femara. One of the cases is the use of HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) as a pre-PCT. HCG has a powerful estrogenic effect, which means that it – while effectively restoring the testosterone — may also lead to an even more notable imbalance. The use of Femara or other AIs in mild, minimal doses is recommended alongside HCG.
AIs like Letrozole are used on-cycle, unlike SERMs like Nolvadex, which are part of post-cycle therapy. Begin taking it one week into the cycle, a few days earlier or later, depending on the power of the anabolic steroids and their aromatization capabilities, as not all anabolic steroids aromatize.
The dose ranges from 0.5 to 2.5 mg, with the most common range being 1 mg to 1.25 mg every other day. Keep in mind that Letrozole has a half-life of 2 to 4 days, so daily administration in high doses is not recommended.
Novo-Pharm's Letrozole is approximately 20 times stronger than Arimidex, so use it with caution as it can seriously damage estrogen levels. Despite its similarities with other AIs, it is less popular because it is a relatively new compound that is generally unknown in the golden era of bodybuilding.
Femara is FDA and Health Canada-approved for women with breast cancer, although its use among bodybuilders is not their field of responsibility. Nonetheless, several studies on its effects on men show that it is potentially a highly effective compound in treating gynecomastia and breast tissue-related issues.
